Billing/Service Descriptions CPT/H-Codes for ABA Treatment
Many MassABA members have emailed questions to the Board to clarify how to bill center and home-based ABA treatment for families affected by ASD under commercial and public health insurance. The purpose of this 2.5 Hours workshop is to present and define billing codes, billing rules, and qualification information to permit BCBAs/LABAs to appropriately provide ABA based treatment to children and families. This workshop will identify CPT and H-Code areas typically billed through commercial and public health insurance providers for ABA based Treatment and is designed for practitioners and operational staff that support ABA based treatment. A special emphasis will be placed on treatment planning best practices, how to avoid inappropriate billing practices, preparing for an audit, and common performance specifications for ABA based treatment.
Using a multiple choice assessment, participants will be able to:
1.) Recognize 3 appropriate uses of ABA treatment planning.
2.) Discriminate the critical differences between H-Codes and CPT Codes.
3.) Identify essential billing rules when providing case specific supervision under using both H-Codes and CPT Codes.
Registration is closed for this event.
