MassABA has over 300 active professional members throughout the Commonwealth and is an affiliated chapter of the Association of Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).  MassABA is honored to represent the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).  As of July 2013, there are currently 969 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), 94 Doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA-D's), and 34 Board Certified assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) residing in Massachusetts.  BCBAs work in a variety of human services settings including public schools, hospitals and universities.  The majority of BCBAs are employed to supervise and provide services to individuals with disabilities.  Although BCBAs serve individuals with a variety of abilities, behavior analysts are most well-known and respected for their research and work in providing treatment services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

MassABA assists in the support and education of individuals receiving ABA services by working with behavior analysts to maintain the highest degree of ethical behavior, implement evidenced based practices and advocating for the adoption of specific professional standards for the delivery of applied behavioral analysis services by the state of Massachusetts.
